Data protection and information privacy is a concern that many of us share. As breaches become more frequent and AI more prevalent, there’s a greater focus globally on data ethics and governance. As such, data privacy is an ever evolving, extremely vital sector of the technology industry. 

Join us for a panel discussion featuring women who have chosen careers in data privacy. We’ll discuss how we can encourage more women to pursue careers in data privacy, how we can support the advancement of women within the field and the unique skills that women bring to data privacy roles. 


Quintana Patterson, IT Clinical and Compliance Manager, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Quintana has been in the IT industry for over 20 years. Her passion as the IT Clinical and Compliance Manager is ensuring her organization is compliant in health and industry related information & data security frameworks & regulations, assisting the units & departments with annual risk assessments, and working with other governance teams to streamline processes. She is a member of a few organizations that support and uplift women in the cyber security space.

Sherry Peng, Sr. Security Manager, WiCyS Colorado

Sherry started her career in local government and moved into the private sector after she obtained her Master's degree in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity. She has been in the security space for almost a decade.

As the president of WiCyS of Colorado, she is focusing on providing educational and networking events to support the community of women in security. Her vision for WiCyS Colorado is to be the central hub of all things cybersecurity in Colorado.

Debbie Reynolds “The Data Diva” has made a name for herself as a leading voice in the world of Data Privacy and Emerging Technology with a focus on industries such as AdTech, FinTech, EdTech, Biometrics, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Smart Manufacturing, Smart Cities, Privacy Tech, Smartphones, and Mobile App development. With over 20 years of experience in Emerging Technologies, Debbie has established herself as a trusted advisor and thought leader, helping organizations navigate the complex landscape of Data Privacy and Data Protection. Larkin Reynolds, CIPP/US, Foundry Legal

Larkin Reynolds advises newly formed startups, global enterprises, and everything in between on privacy and data protection issues that span a range of industries and technologies.  She regularly counsels clients on domestic and international compliance matters, including interpretation of state and federal data protection laws as well as international program management.  Larkin also serves as corporate counsel to emerging technology companies, their investors, and individual stakeholders. In all of her advisory roles, Larkin takes a pragmatic approach, seeking to help clients make well-informed decisions and distinguish risks that are substantial from those that are theoretical. 

Larkin is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Before forming Foundry Legal, Larkin worked as in-house counsel to Visa in a global strategic role.  Prior to that she was in private practice with WilmerHale LLP, where she advised on global regulatory inquiries and sensitive national security and cybersecurity matters, including some of the biggest data incident response matters in the country.
